You’ve probably noticed that I’m not posting with my usual regularity this month. I have a whole lot of change and uncertainty going on in my life right now, and I just haven’t had much to say on the gluten free front. So, I’ve decided to give myself a break. This month, I’m giving up my three times a week posting schedule and will only post when I feel like it.
I moved back to the US after my visa expired at the end of June. However, Legend’s job (and visa) were extended until the end of the year. Instead of spending over $1,000 to extend my visa for six months, I decided to return home. I’m living with my mom (Grandma T) in my childhood bedroom.
I’m trying to figure out my next steps. I have applied for a couple jobs in my degree field, as well as for some temp work locally. I’m planning a visit to Scotland to see Legend (and pick up the rest of my stuff!) But, I can’t even begin to tell you where I’ll be in a few months – and for someone who hates change and uncertainty, this is all really hard. Putting the blog on pause means one less thing to feel stressed about, and that’s what I need right now.
I plan to take the month of August to focus on the major life decisions I need to make, like where to live and what to do about money. I’m not sure what the blog schedule or format will look like when I come back, but I’ve got some time to figure it out.
If you’ve got any great advice about how to figure out my life, or any topics you’d like to read more about on Gluten Free Fab Life, tell me in the comments!
