About

I’m back in New Mexico after living abroad in Glasgow, Scotland for two years. When I’m not blogging about living gluten free, I enjoy reading, music, travel and wandering through interesting cities and landscapes. My travel highlights (so far) include Oktoberfest in Munich (in the pre-gluten-free days), snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef, and celebrating a new year at Rio de Janeiro’s Copacabana Beach.

I left a job in communications and administration to focus on writing full-time. I have experience writing, editing and publishing news online and in print. I know about content strategy, enjoy data, and I’m just a little obsessed with website and social media analytics. I’m currently learning about social media marketing through a specialization on Coursera.

I have a Master’s degree in Information Science and Learning Technologies with a focus on Learning Systems Design and Development. In short, I know how to build online courses from needs assessment to implementation.

As a freelancer, I’m open to new opportunities – I can write, edit, and help with your content strategy or social media. I’m also available for instructional design work. Please send me an email for more information and my rates. I’m also on LinkedIn, where I write about what I’ve learned running this website and interesting trends in freelance, social media and content strategy.
